Mensura
Mensura is a piece for open ensemble and Soundbrenner Pulse devices. It was written for CoMA Manchester. Mensura explores the interface between the haptic metronome and our own biological rhythms, and whether such an interaction might induce group coordination or disorder. Also included are early notions of mensura and tactus, yoga breaths, and, of course, Baude Cordier’s fourteenth-century chanson Belle, bonne, sage.
